Goodbye Green. Hello Blue

Yesterday morning, at 0812, I received an SMS that read:

"We acknowledge your request to move. Thank you for being with Maxis and we hope to serve you again in the future. For further queries, please call 1800 821 123"

As I was reading this SMS, another one came in that read:

"Dear customer, your Celcom port request has been accepted & activation is in progress. Please wait for SMS configuration to change SIM card within 24 hours. TQ."

And as I was getting ready for a 9am meeting in Putrajaya, at 0821 another SMS came in that read:

"Congratulations! Your Celcom service has been activated. Pls insert your Celcom SIM card now to start enjoying the Fastest Network, Widest Coverage & Best Rates."

Yes. Bye-bye Green and Hello Blue.

Since 1999 I've been a subscriber to maxis and only yesterday successfully ported over to Celcom. Reasons prompting me to move was:
  1. minimum savings of RM70 monthly for bills for my three green numbers
  2. unlimited data for free, Mr Green charges me RM99/month for unlimited data
  3. fed-up with the signal reception at L1 2A PMO Office.
  4. fed-up with interruption during 'on-the-move' calls during cell-switch handover especially in hand-overs between GSM and UMTS cells.

So Hello Blue and goodbye Green.
