Let's cook

This post was supposed to be made weeks ago. Alas, I was a tad busy in daily chores.

So.. here goes..

This blogpost is on making Char Kuey Teow.

Firstly there's the Kuey Teow.. In this session I use 1 pack for two servings!

The you'll need bean sprouts... Taugeh in 'Malay'

Some cockles

Prawns - beheaded as the head contains the greatest concentration of Uric Acid and other bad stuffs

I use LKK Light Soya Sauce

Unique concoction of blended dried chillies, shallots, garlic, tamarind juice and salt

Eggs, of course

I use Canola & Sunflower cooking oil

Pickled chillies and Fried shallots and Chives (both not in picture)

Directions:

Pour in minute amount of cooking oil in a heated pan
Fry crushed garlic until fragrant
Add in the cockles and prawns
Increase heat on the stove
Put in a suitable amount of the unique concoction
Stir fry until cooked
Add in the Light soya sauce and water in ratio of 1:1:1 (concoction: soya: water)
Add in the Kuey Teow
Stir Fry
Add in bean sprouts and egg.
Continue to Stir Fry until gravy slightly thickens.
Serve with picked chillies, fried shallots and chives (if you prefer)

All the cooking activities should take about 2 minutes to complete

Presto!

End Product
