Post mid Ramadhan

More than half of Ramadhan has passed by…

Although the intention at the onset of the holy month was to make use
of the time, as usual, work intervenes.

The first 3 days of Ramadhan sees iftar in the city center of Kuala
Lumpur with the staff, there goes the early night prayers. Then there
was the unfortunate incident that resulted in metadata corruption of
the production system at one of the projects we're involved in.

Tracing and identifying the extent of the damage has taken a lot of
time, both during the day where access to the site is done to run
diagnostics and what nought, and nite time to analyse the logs and
debugging outputs…

Still I have got some time in the wee hours of the morning for the
late night prayers, albeit tired, I have managed to pull through them,
although not nightly as planned.

The onset news of a dear friend diagnosed with cancer has also
contributed for several solat hajats for this friend… latest feedback
from this friend seems positive as some of the polyps growth have been
removed and is now under medication. Although this is certainly a
welcoming news, my prayers for this friend continues, hopefully
throughout the remaining days of Ramadhan and after.

Earlier today, since the big boss has declared holiday for the Nuzul
Quran, I have decided to really laze around, catching up with the much
needed rest. In the late afternoon spent time playing the PS3 console…
while my wife was left to her own devices… iftar was with a small
group of friends with abundance of grilled lamb…

And I also hope the delayed trip up to BKK and BWN will be further
delayed until the Syawal month.

This coming few days may prove to be hectic as we are awaiting answers
from one of the Biz partner on the way forward for the problem in the
metadata repository.
