Happy Malaysia Day.
Yesterday marks the 48th Anniversary of the formation of Malaysia, with the inclusion of both Sabah and Sarawak with Malaya in 1963.
Initially, as the history states, the plan was a unification of the 11 states of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak, Singapore and Brunei to form Malaysia. In Brunei, there was some rejection from a political party there although the then Sultan, supports the unification move. The plan was also to have this unification to officially faon 31st August.... but due to resistance from both the Phillipines and Indonesia earlier on, the powers to be at the time managed to officiate this on the 16th September.
Fast forward to current... what did we do yesterday?
For me, it was a fine day to laze around, after a very hectic forthnight since the Hari Raya holidays...
Breakfast was toasted bagels with cream cheese....
Lunch was Spaghetti Bolognaise....
Dinner was Macaroni and Cheese
All prepared by my wifey, with the exception of the bagels, which was bought in a supermarket in Ampang...
So much about Malaysia Day.....
