Beef 'Singgang' 'Ganu' style

Another recipe for Komander to try out... let's keep it simple for now...

We'll shall gradually go into more tough ones later..

This one is similar to the fish singgang.. only that it uses beef.

Ingredients

half kg of beef sliced thin to your liking
Tamarind Peel (you should know it by now... no pictures this time)
water
salt to taste

Sliced Ingredients

2 pieces of Garlic
3 pieces of shallots

Grinded Ingredients (grinded means finely grinded using mortar and pestle. if you don't have it, go and buy one!)

an inch of Galangal (aha.. a challenge for you to find out)*
an inch of Ginger
half teaspoon black peppercorns
half teaspoon fennel (another challenge for you to find out)
half teaspoon coriander seeds (yet another challenge for you to find out)

Steps

Throw everything into a pot of water
bring to boil
Add salt to taste

Happy 'Sahur' !!!

*actually i'm too lazy to comb the net to find the pictures..
p/s: some people uses a bit of 'kerisek' to add flavor
p/s: some people also add 'budu' to this concoction.. i wonder why...
