Iftar for Sunday

Yesterday we had some non-ordinary food for iftar

It seems like a trend that every Sunday my other half would want to eat something 'different'

Well the kids love it.. and I'm ok with it (since she's sponsoring it heh heh)

The theme for the Iftar was 'Grill'

We had:

  • Grilled Lamb Chops
  • Grilled Chicken Drumsticks and Wings
  • Grilled Onion Wings and Potato Wedges with Mustard
  • Hailam Fried Rice
  • Seri Muka for dessert
  • Dates - from Yusoff Taiyoob
  • and Sirap Bandung

Hailam Fried rice with condiments from cuttlefish, prawns, bits of beef and egg

Grilled Onion Rings and Potato Wedges - taken after the iftar

And darn, the photographer, my Son, forgot to snap pictures of the Sirap Bandung and Seri Muka...

Tomorrow, we're having our annual Family iftar, this year is sponsored by my sister as I don't have the cash to spend... *sigh*

I believe it's a middle-eastern affair at an undisclosed location.

Hmm having savory thoughts of tabouleh and hummus already. It's a Middle eastern buffet spread where Lamb is a must!

You can find my whereabouts tomorrow when i've checked-in via my foursquare!
