It looks like the issues surrounding the word "Allah" is allowed to 'grow' further. Churches are being firebombed. Protests are still occuring.
Those protesting are really idiots. Look at the picture above taken from here. Who's challenging who?
Maybe they (the protesters) have never been outside the country. Maybe they have always been that frog under the coconut shell, ready to croak when it rains but know nothing of their own surroundings.

What's the word describing God in Arabic? That's Allah
What's the word describing God in Hebrew? That's Elohim or Jehovah or Yahweh (as written in older text)
What is the word describing God in Malay? That's 'Tuhan'
I could list out the word for God in other languages... But only chose three, where Arabic and Hebrew representing the language for the Muslims and Jews.
Maybe the Government should change the word in our National Anthem that says "Rahmat Bahagia, Tuhan Kurniakan...." to Rahmat Bahagia, Allah Kurniakan..." for Malays that are Muslims to sing, and leave the original to non-Muslims.
------
This issue started from the High Court granting the usage of the word 'Allah' in the Malay translation of the Herald to substitute it for God. The key question here is why a Malay translation of the Herald was allowed as one of the four (4) languages? Perhaps in the land beneath the wind the local non-Muslim Bumiputras cannot read English?
Islam is a Religion; Al-Quran is the holy book. Al-Quran only exists in Arabic, and has accompanying 'Interpretation' which can be in any language. In contrast to the Bible and/or Torah, this Holy book for the Christians and Jews exists in many languages.
Yet the argument here was only that the word 'Allah' could be used to confuse Muslims. 'Could 'here mean there is a 'possibility'. 'Possibility' simply means that there is a chance that it may happen. Nothing definite. Nothing confirmed. That's right.. prevention is better than cure...
But, if the Malays are stupid enough to be confused, maybe they deserve it. If they can be confused, it proves a point that that Malays believe everything that they read. No wonder newspapers (MSM) in Malaysia can write anything in it and the Malays will believe it. Now, I remember that there's a Malay saying 'Bagai lembu di cucuk hidung'. Maybe it's true after all....
Weak. Stupid. And too arrogant to admit it.
I'm starting, in my own capacity, to educate my children. They will not be the frogs nor the cows.
You readers... feel free to disagree with me, and justify your disagreements.

Every action taken may trigger some reaction. But for those 'lembu' can they think cause of their action? Do they know what actually they do? maybe after all a statement islam disebarkan melalui mata pedang is true after all..
